MY TOP FIVE TIPS TO DE-CLUTTER AND REFRESH YOUR HOME AFTER CHRISTMAS.

Has your home lost it’s Christmas sparkle ?
No worries I have the solution

1. Buy fresh flowers your home can look a little lost without all the glitz and it s a great way to treat yourself. Choose any colour other than red as this will just look like it’s left over from Christmas my personal favourite is white lilies they look clean and give a fresh scent.

2. If you really don’t fancy a big clean up after ripping all those decorations down -do it in stages I find it far more manageable.

3. Clean all reflective surfaces in each room mirrors windows  vases glassware etc.  You’ll be amazed how clean and refreshed everything looks even if you don’t clean anything else!

4. Buy some decorative bottles to decant shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, most hair products have awful packaging, it will look far more lux and provide continuity. You can also display any beauty gifts from Christmas on shelves -I love to stack bath bombs into glass jars with ribbon they look a bit like jars of macaroons! This will add an instant refresh and cheap update to any bathroom.

5. Finally I had to mention art, didn’t I, select at least one photo/ picture /artwork or home accessory from each room and rotate to another space / room in your home. You’ll be amazed at the impact this has -we get accustomed to things very quickly and they loose their impact by relocating things they’ll literally be given a new lease of life.

6. Yep I did say 5 tips but if you need some art for tip no 5 you know where to find it!

Have a very happy and healthy new year.
